PROJECT III : ART + ARCHITECTURE + CULTURE
For the third assignment of Culture and Civilisations, we were required to produce a postcard packaging with a selected theme. The themes include:
i. Malaysian Architecture,
ii. Fusion Architecture,
iii. Religious Places,
iv. Spaces and People
We have to do a literature research on the places of interest of our chosen place and take photos according to our theme. Before taking photos, we were required to study the theme given and its connection between the historical, architectural and social aspects of the place. After that, we have to design a postcard packaging and inside the packaging should contain a graphical timeline and 10 postcards. We also have to update our weekly progression via E-portfolio and create a one minutes video montage of 10 best photos.
I choosed religious places as my theme and the place that I choosen is Thean Hou Temple and Cheng Hoon Teng Temple.

REFLECTION
Through out this project, I was actually enjoyed the process of doing it. I found out that I have love and pasion towards photography.
This is the first time I used DSLR camera to capture photo it was a great experience for me.I try to figure out the setting of the camera and try to find the best angle to capture each of the photos that I taken.After that I edited the photo and went to printing shop to print out as postcards.Last I proceed to the packaging and design the packaging by using the theme of Religious places.Last but not least,I did my graphical timeline by using hand drawn and put inside my packaging.I love this project becasue this project makes me learn about photo shooting skills and how to makes the photo speaks on its own.
